Yerevan – Garni – Geghard  – Charent’s Arch – Yerevan

We head towards the pagan temple Garni (about 30km from Yerevan) which is an Hellenistic and Roman cultural center and former residence of the royal Armenian Arshakuni Dynasty. This temple was dedicated to the sun god. The tour continues to  monastery of Geghard  (UNESCO World Heritage) called after the name of the spear that pierced Christ’s body. The church dates back to 4th  century and is curved out of a huge rock and has a spectacular view.
